4 factors to be taken into account to preserve cannabinoids
Like many plants, the cBD flower is very sensitive to the effects of sun, humidity, heat, cold and degrades faster when stored outdoors.
UV rays
The rays of the sun quickly deteriorate the glands of the flower that contain terpenes (essential to flavor) and cannabinoids (including cannabidiol, the famous CBD with soothing or inspiring effect, depending on the variety of flower chosen).
Ambient humidity
Just as you would not leave your tomatoes in a damp cage, your CBD flowers should be kept from any risk of mould. The drying of our hemp flowers is done in a room where moisture is strictly less than 55% of the ambient air. Ideally, check the humidity of your storage room to avoid exceeding 65% moisture. This is not good for your CBD sachets or for your long-term health. Thus, the best piece to deposit your precious cannabidiol purchase is the living room. The kitchen or bathroom should be avoided absolutely.
Temperature
The CBD flowers delivered by LabShop are already dry, at an optimal level to achieve a balance of conservation and flavours. It is therefore not necessary to store them in a place too hot to dehydrate them completely. Above 25°C, you may gradually lose the aromas of your flowers.
Air currents
To keep its CBD flowers well, you must sometimes follow the tips of the florists! In the same way that it is advisable to place its bouquet of roses at the corner of the room, sheltered from heat, away from a window and air currents. This allows him to avoid sudden changes in temperature. A tip that also applies to hemp flowers.
Freezing, a false good idea to keep its CBD flowers
We deliver our CBD flowers in small hermetic plastic pouches, very useful for short-term conservation of terpenes. These pouches are very similar to freezer bags, but our customers who tried the experiment made the same return: the taste and effects of the flower are greatly attenuated. Indeed, as previously seen, cold and moisture are the enemies of good cannabinoids, including cannabidiol. Negative temperatures turn trichomes into ice, which simply wipes out terpenes irremediably.
Best way to store your CBD
The best place to keep its CBD flowers is in their bag or in a hermetic box placed in a drawer, in a living room. Safe from sunlight, moisture and air currents, your CBD flowers will last longer. Ideal if you prefer to carry out large orders or if you just like to make your cannabidiol flower pack last, savouring it in small doses and reserving it for exceptional evenings, in the way of a good brandy.
